Jazz edge Spurs in contentious Game 3, win 115-120 at home.

The Spurs went down by 10 points and Utah would grow their lead, but the defending champions would cut the score to three points in the final minute, before the Jazz pulled away, making the Spurs fight all night long from behind. Utah devoured the paint in this game, with 56 points over SA's 28 as dominated did their bench, winning the assists column.

The Spurs committed too many fouls, as well, with Pau Gasol fouling out late scoring just 16 points and 8 rebounds. Patty Mills and Kawhi Leonard valiantly combined for 60 points (with Patty Mills setting a new playoff record for the team, making 10 three-pointers, keeping the team alive). Leonard nailed 6 by himself, respectively.

San Antonio's defense was just too deficient to stand a chance, as the Jazz shot 62% and 39% from 3PT range. The Spurs would score 45 points in the final quarter, but would be unable to steal this one. Donovan Mitchell was set loose with 23 points. Derrick Favors had 22 points and 8 rebounds. Rodney Hood had 15 points; Alec Burks had 11 points, and Ricky Rubio had 10 points this time to go with his 14 assists. Rudy Gobert scored low, but did had 12 rebounds and 1 key block late. Notably, Rudy Gay had an awful showing, an awful scoreless 0-8 on the court.

The Spurs just couldn't recover fully from a dominant third quarter by the Jazz, but will look to win the next game, to go up 3-1 in the series. But it will not be a sweep!
